We are launching our first “Big Cleanup” of The Preserve. We could use some help!
Our first cleanup is Saturday, November 22nd from 10 am to 1:00 pm. We will meet at the Route 153 entrance in Westbrook. We will be demolishing a shack and removing plastic test pipes, television sets, tires, and other trash.
You will be part of a team of approximately 11-16 volunteers, including 3-4 shack “demolishers,” 6-8 “pipe diggers and cutters,” 1-2 “4×4″ pickup truck haulers, and 1-2 two-wheel drive pickup haulers.” The haulers would use their own vehicles to take materials to the Old Saybrook dump.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, and willing to sign a waiver of liability. When you have to sign a waiver of liability, you KNOW it’s going to be a lot of fun!
If interested, please email Chris Cryder at email@example.com to arrange a phone call. Chris would like to review the project details and requirements with each volunteer in advance of the cleanup. Thanks!
